The main problem area back then was the inability to output 800x480 resolution (native resolution of the display) from the integrated graphics chip. Powerstrip didn't support most integrated graphics at the time, and I think that they still don't. I don't know if the latest drivers allow for this resolution. Without this, I would be worried that the text and graphics on screen wouldn't be very sharp. Another concern was the reliability of the hard drive to survive the rough ride of our cars. Now with SSDs being more readily available, that would be a viable option, at least as the OS/program drive. Then you can add a larger 2.5" or 3.5" drive in an external USB enclosure to hold your media (for those wanting the carPC to operate as a media player).
